The owl glides through the folklore of centuries, from a time when the night held different meanings and other names. In its time, tales were spun of shape-shifting beings, attacks on children, and solid nightmares… Now, my imagination summons her, and she appears as a twilight specter—predatory and wild.

It is no surprise she is linked to wisdom. If she inhabits both this side and the "other side" of reality, she must surely guard profound lessons beneath her wings.
